Wow, just bought a Bugera 1960 for $99 from a dude on Craigslist. He thought there was something wrong with it, all it needed was new power tubes.

Wow, that was a low-risk high reward score. Congrats. I see it's a plexi-based circuit. Please share your opinions after giving it some test drives.

      Bad tubes IS something wrong.

Bigger question is why did they go bad.

Probably got mixed up with the wrong crowd. Started staying out late, smoking, drinking. You know, just bad news.

They had one at my jamspot I loved it. Many times I would leave the Marshall at home because I know that amp was there. It definitely got the job done. Nice score.

+1 on tubes sometimes straying off the path. I had an old VHS tape once called When Good Tubes Go Bad, it was a real eye opener. Even had a scene with that Pignose tube amp.

That's very, very cool. Is it one of the SMD versions, or the old through-hole varieties? Bugs are fun to mod

Also... 150 watts... I hope you have an attenuator...__PRESENT
