NSD - Mesa Black Shadow

Just caught this lightly used on a local sale. I've been really curious to try one of these for a long time. Why? Because it's the speaker Keith Richards uses in his Twins. So, of course it's going into my 57 Twin. Figure I'll try it and if I don't end up liking it I can always resell it. From what I've seen the Black Shadows do not come up for sale all that often.

It's loud! But sounds really good in this amp. Clear, articulate, chimey on chords. Very open sounding. Had to reach for the treble knob and dial it back a bit from where I had the amp set. Cranked up it's got THE tone. Percussive and full.

If I wasn't already happy with what I have, I would definitely love to try them.
