I have a 4x12 set of Blackbacks that were built during the transition period. They have the pulsonic cones, they sound glorious. I need to find a home for them.

They are 30 watts each. I don't want to push them with a 100-watt head and blow them. I am looking into lower wattage heads right now.

Why?

The midrange spike that many seem to hate, but which I find cuts through a mix very well. They also seem to have a fairly tight low end. They're rated at 70 watts and you can find them cheap because of the hate.

Jensens and the reissues have harsh almost ice-picky highs. If you can manage and tame them they sound fantastic. However, it is a challenge to get a great tone out of them. If you do they are heavenly.

It’s a 55w Greenback clone. Made by Eminence exclusively for Scott.
These speakers fly under the radar for so many people.
