  • Tube amp pop, crackle/hiss

my 1997 Marshall 1987 frequent has a loud pop within about 15 minutes after start-up. what could the problem be? it had a cold bias when I bought it and re-biasing it properly didn't resolve it. it has had a tube change and it still pops. this has occurred since I bought it around 2007.

my 2008 Marshall Randy Rhoads has hissed and crackled since I bought it especially at higher volumes on the RR channel high. I can tell the head was abused at the shop or returned because it has black smear on the back of the white tolex. probably fell and hit a cab. I'd describe the crackle as varied intensity.

if I lived in England I'd just take these to the factory. what could be the issues?

there could be several isssues but the most common is a faulty electrolytical cap discharging, have you noticed lately any growing 50Hz buzz during normal use?

The most common issue i have had with any amp
is the effects loop jacks causing hiss buzz pops intermittent sound drops

Jumper that with a patch cable and let me know
