Re: GEC 6l6, Why so expensive?
yeah...$200 a pair is a bargen! There are other tubes that bring WAY more that $200 a pair...not to say that 200 bones for a pair of tubes is not a lot of cheese, it is but price a set of 6146's or NOS 7027's...and those are just 2 off the top of my head...If you just read a post by The Guy Who Invented Fire please understand that opinions change, mind sets change and as players our ears mature...not to mention our needs grow and change. With that in mind, today I may or may not agree with the post you just read!

Re: GEC 6l6, Why so expensive?
I've seen some audiophile type tubes, can't remember what, but they were $800.00 a pair!!!
You think we're gear crazy....These guys that deal in high end audio equipment are completely NUTS!!!
The local guy I get tubes from Ken at www.tubeman.com has a GIGANTIC collection of albums. The last time I was there, he showed me his audio room......MASSIVE surround sound stereo equipment. The very best of everything.
Made me & my Pioneer stereo seem completely insignificent
