  • mesa traditional or standard cabs?

I just bought a standard rectifier "oversized" cab with the celestion 30's.. I bought it because I want to crank my mesa dual rec with a scooped tone and not get any mud or flatulence sound.. but I'm not getting a very good thump for palm muted riffs (think the main riff for master of puppets).. will the mesa traditional cab give those e-string palm mutes more thump?.. they say that the traditoinal has tighter lower end than the oversized cab.. what does that mean by "tighter" low end?

"Tight" low end is that chunk you hear when you plam mute. The low end is not flabby, or boomy, but tight and solid.

The oversized recto cab has a great modern tone with a much better bass response

        physics really does work!
