Re: Best Modern Amp for Metal and Rock?

Continuing OT: My Finnish friend told me Finnish is a very different language from most. It has a little in common with Estonian and shares about 200 words with Hungarian (which she also speaks). Europeans make me feel so dumb...

Sorry for being OT: My knowledge is very supeficial, but here's what I know. Suomi (Finnish) is different from the others because - as I know - ancestor tribes of today's Finnish, Estonian and Hungarian people used to live together on the eastern side of Ural, as a popular theory says. All three languages are known as members of the Finno-Ugor family. Finnish and Ugor tribes got separated, most claim in the 4th millennium. DNA researches don't really support this theory though. However, a lot of words and some sentences are similar in Suomi and Hungarian (found them in Wikipedia):

Jään alla talvella elävät kalat uiskentelevat.
Jég alatt télen eleven halak úszkálnak.

      Kivistä verinen oli vävyn käsi.
      Kövektől véres volt veje keze.

      Orvon silmä kyyneliä täynnä.
      Árva szeme könnyel tele.

      Kuka meni meidän edessämme?
      Ki ment mielőttünk?

      Miniäni antoi voita.
      Menyem adott vajat.

Jack Nicholson: It's not true. Some have great stories, pretty stories that take place at lakes with boats and friends and noodle salad. Just no one in this car. But, a lot of people, that's their story. Good times, noodle salad. What makes it so hard is not that you had it bad, but that you're that pissed that so many others had it good.

Re: Best Modern Amp for Metal and Rock?

                  For some on topic contribution:

I don't have a lot of experience with Diezel or ENGL, but I think the Mesa Road King has to be worth a look. It does EL34 AND 6L6 at the same time in a footswitchable configuration. That kind of feature is pretty awesome IMO...

I went with the Bogner Uberschall, but honestly these other ones I think are all GREAT for modern rock/metal:
                    *CAA OD-100SE
                    *VHT Ultra Lead
                    *Diezel VH4
