The Bad Monkey is a great pedal, especially for the bucks. Try to get one made in the USA. I also like the Chandler Tube Overdrive, I have the Rackmount version and just picked up a BK Butler Pedal. This is the one that has the same circuit as Eric Johnson Chandler.
Great pedals all, but make sure to get one the does not use a wall wart, but houses a power transformer inside the pedal and plugs right into the house AC (120 volts here in the USA)
