Okay my friend is looking for a bass amp, are there any particular old ones that go cheap on ebay? nothing special, just needs an amp under $1000 AUD. What are some brands that r good new, models? thanks.

Haven't a clue what $1000 aud. is in USD? But Peavey made some good Bass amps in the early 80's like the TNT. I Imagine you could pick one of them up Cheap? -

There's an Ashdown Mag 300 on Avatar's site going for $270 USD. Pick up one of their bass cabs and you'll have a pretty cool rig for not a lot of bread.Ain't nothin' but a G thang, baby.Comment

the ampeg svt3 pro is a great bass amp head....preamp tubes, solid state power.
I think they go for around $500 usedComment
