Anyone have experience with a hush pedal?

I think im gonna need a hush pedal to use with my new tonebone...cos the tone is amazing, its just that its bloody noisy!

Has anyone used these, i think im talking about the Rocktron Hush pedal...do they really kill all the noise without touching tone?

Re: Anyone have experience with a hush pedal?

from the reviews at HC the new hush pedals(the one channel, made in china ones) seem to suck on your tone pretty badly and don't get very good reviews. I have one of the older, two channel ,usa made ones and it's probably the best noise gate i've ever used. But since those aren't made anymore and are kinda rare now you would probably be better of with a Boss NS-2 alltohugh it's a little more expensive than the Hush.

what would be the best noise reduction for an amp (in the effects loop)
...my ns-2 doesnt do much at high volumes

I use a Bos Ns-2 with a 5150 (same amp as yours) and it works perfect at all volumes. (unless in my bedroom plugged into the same power thing as my amp)

Live it works perfect though.

Re: Anyone have experience with a hush pedal?

Screw the "HUSH the Pedal"... it's complete garbage! If you're on a budget, go with the Boss NS-2 and if you want the best noise suppression in a pedal, go with the ISP Decimator.

Re: Anyone have experience with a hush pedal?

i've used the boss version. It did what it was suppose to do. Don't remember to much about, its been a while since I've had it. The FX loop it had was cool though.

Re: Anyone have experience with a hush pedal?

when i turn my amp up past 4 the noise suppression LED doesnt light up, and i dont think it does anything...

works like a charm on lower volumes than that, though
