I'm getting fed up now...

On 22nd March I ordered some parts from Banzai Electronics for a tubescreamer pedal I'm building for someone. They arrived here on the 29th March. After carefully examining the package upon receipt I found that the following aspects of my order were wrong:

I received 1x 1k resistor, I'd ordered 4
There was no 3PDT switch with the effects pedal set (it was missing)
They sent me a 10k pot instead of a 100k one.

So the same day I sent them an email telling them of my issues.

Hi the order arrived today, but there are a few problems with it. Firstly, the 3PDT switch is missing from the 'effects pedal set - low cost'. Secondly, the 100k linear pot that I ordered was replaced with a linear 10k pot. And finally, I ordered 4 1k 1/4w carbon resistors but only 1 was in the packet. The actual packets of the pot and resistors stipulate what was ordered, but the contents don't match the labels.

Is this because you are out of stock of the items (and are sending replacements separately), or is it an error?

I then get an email:

Richard Baines,
Your ticket has been received, one of the staff members will review it and reply accordingly.

so I waited for the rest of the week, and the weekend, and still on tuesday night there was no reply - I needed these parts urgently, and the rest of the ones had already taken a full week to arrive (usually packages from Germany take 2-3 days). So I sent them an email again in their 'ticket' service on the website:

Hi, please can you reply concerning the wherabouts of these parts? I need them urgently for an effects pedal I'm building, that will be given to a friend as a gift on their birthday.


so then they reply with this:

Hi,

this order was shipped. registration code RV 53 989 550 2DE, 23-03-2006

wtf? she clearly didn't even read my email. I need these parts before friday, and based on the shipping time for the previous package it looks like I won't get them, nor do they even bother reading my email to find out I need them. ****ing brilliant.

I tried using Banzai because I had parts missing on two successive Smallbear Electronics orders, but at least Steve from Smallbear responded quickly, actually read my email and sent out the correct parts ASAP.

Here's what I've replied to Banzai with:

Yes of course the order has been shipped - if you'd read my first email properly, you'd know that I wrote to you because the order arrived incomplete. 4 of the 1k resistors and the 3PDT switch were missing, and the 100k potentiometer was not supplied, instead I received a 50k one.

Well stratdeluxer97 has stopped using Smallbear recently for the same problems, so I'm sure it's not just me lol. The most retarded thing about it is that the plastic packets that the parts came in from Banzai even had labels on with the details components that were supposed to be inside, yet they still missed out all those components.

Overdue is one thing, but taking my money for something, not supplying me with it, and then just replying "the order was shipped" is pretty cold.

Were the discrepencies regarding the components receives between the 1st and last emails intentional to see if they're paying attention?

Specifically, you said you ordered 4 1k resistors and said you received 1 in the first, but none in the last. Also, you stated you received a 10k pot in the first vs. a 50k in the last.

Not trying to bust your balls, I just noticed it and was curious.

I thought you said you'd stopped buying (or at least as often) from SB due to order mixups?

Steve is a great guy....He was having some problems keeping up during the holidays....I've not bought from him "lately"but I'd not want Steve to read anything negative from any of us...Water under the bridge for me..:banana:

I Never had a problem with Steve (SmallBear) I know he recently had some Family issue's to attend to that caused some bumps in the road for his business/service. But he seems to be back on track now. I just got a order from him 2 weeks ago with no problems.
