  • 7 pin Din footswitch cable question...

i need a right angle 7 pin Din cable for my dual recto footswitch so it will fit my new pedalboard better. however mesa doesn't have one, only straight plugs like my stock one.

so will any 7 pin Din cable work for a mesa footswitch?

    like this one? http://www.midi-classics.com/Merchan...duct_Code=9925
from the pic in the link it looks the same as mine just a right angle which i need.

i would assume a 7 pin Din is a 7 pin DIN but i just wanted to make sure before i order that one.

    thanks!

I bet that will work, just make sure the pins are the same shape on the cable as what your footswitch is. When i built my footswitch a regular 5 pin DIN like that one worked perfectly.

It should work. I can use a 5 or 7 pin with my ADA MP-1, and I have switched from monster (5 pin) to Mogami (7 pin) with great results. Try it.

i guess it can't hurt to give it a shot. in the pic it looks the same.

i would make sure that all the pins and the shell are connected b4 buying it. mesa uses all the pins, IIRC.

update. just ordered one. i called them up, and he checked the shell and the pins. it is a true 8 conductor, so it should work fine for your purposes.
