  • Power tube question

In an amp with 2 power tubes, can 1 tube be safely removed to lower output? If so, does anything else need to be done?

      Re: Power tube question

Ok, why? I know it can be done with 4, so I thought it could also with 2.

        Re: Power tube question

Because one tube pushes the other pulls. When you remove 2 tubes in a 4 tube amp, you still have a balanced circuit.
