Are you going to use the original hardware, or replace it with black chrome (or anodized)?

Clearing like crazy since I have to have it set up for use Thursday. Not perfect but crazy cool, learned quite a bit.

Cleared, flaked, cleared, flaked, cleared the truss cover that was really rough looking. Pics can't show it but it is deeeeeep

pretty high quality stuff in these cans

doesn't go quite a far as I would have hoped, I was squeaking out every last drop

you still have to know how to spray but they're relatively easy to use

How did the flakes come out so uniform from a rattle can? I'm intrigued.

    hoping so anyway.

not using the kandie topcoat, it makes the color a little too green-ish, just going with a clear

That's really tasty. A few coats of clear, and that will be deep enough to swim in.

no just the basecoat. this guitar is the guinea pig so we'll see how it does. might not be a bad idea to use an auto primer/filler first but between trying to keep the finish from being too thick and being lazy I am hoping this works. so far it looks deadly, the pics don't do much, need to get a real camera

going to try and figure how to top some knobs with these beer caps, the old school Lip Service button is going to fill the input jack hole since we're putting in a trad firebird input jack (might use a Harley seat plug if it doesn't look right)

Here's a link to an article for how to spray flake on cars. The techniques are probably similar.

You can't sand the metal flake - they are aluminium with colour on them ,(don't ask how I know- touchy subject ),you have to bury them in more clear before any sanding and polishing
