    Dear Seymour:

    Please make these again.

Then put that whole stack under my tree this Xmas.

I've been a really good bassist this year.

Thank you Rich and Ehd for the information and the offer of the Davies knobs (Rich, I may have to take you up on that), and thanks Medic for the welcome. Here are a few stock pics (because I'm not a great photographer) of a Seymour Duncan 400x2, which is identical to the 300x2. In fact, Kevin Beller of Duncan told me that the first 300's, which mine is, actually tested out at 400 watts but that the screening and the graphics were already produced so they didn't change it until the second run. There's also a pic of the 400x2 with the straight 400 (no crossover).

    try Allied Electronics
    search for knobs
    you should find something similar

do you know the shaft diameter
    knob dimensions (height/diameter/etc)

you could possibly get someone on the phone
send them an email with the picture you posted
and the shaft diameter and knob dimensions

    Welcome to the forum.

Good luck. It's great you're trying to restore it to original condition, but I doubt you'll find much. Kind of like me looking for gray teardrop-shaped knobs for old Univoxes - when I built my clone, I just had to settle for black.

Those knobs are similar to, but probably larger than the "Davies" (model 1510 pointer) knobs that are popular with boutique and DIY pedal builders, most notably Fulltone. If it were mine, I'd move the original knobs around to fill up a section, then replace the remainder with black Davies knobs. For example, if I had eight originals, I'd put them on the volume and EQ pots, then put Davies on the lower row (crossover and tone controls). If you have fewer, use Davies on the EQ and originals elsewhere.

If it will help, I'd be happy to send you enough real-deal Fulltone knobs to cover your empty pot shafts. I have a bunch, and they are much better-made than the Taiwanese clones commonly available. Lemme know... Here's a couple on my modded DS-1:

P.S. How 'bout a pic of the whole amp? I don't recall ever seeing one before.

Seymour Duncan 300x2 Bass amp, knobs needed...

I have a mid-80's Seymour Duncan 300x2 Bass amp and am looking for replacement knobs. I know that in that era, many Duncan amps used the same knobs. Does anyone know who the supplier was or does anyone have these knobs in good condition and may be interested in selling them? Thank you for your help. Click image for larger version
