Hey! Page 4. Granted it's mostly pecker swinging.

I wouldn't do this here. These are valid points and a serious discussion.

I agree. In a different body.

Good, leave the pointy stuff for people who appreciate it, like me.

I wouldn't mind it in like an Iceman body or a Charvel/Jackson style body...but would prefer it in a Spector body

If I could afford a decent X shape, or star, I would in a heartbeat. I wouldn't by a cheap pos just because it was pointy.

                      I agree.

I want another bass (my dad commandeered my Spector) but I just don't play enough to justify having one right now.

After years of playing mine with stainless steel strings, the frets are shot. I have an old Cortez bass that I'm planning on swapping the decent parts from my current bass, like the pups and bridge, onto. It's what my budget will allow. Oh, and it's not pointy at all.

Is it worth a refret? Or time to make it fretless? lol

Yikes. That green disaster looks like an implement of torture. But I guess that's the idea.

No, I will never be in an eBay bidding war over something like that.

I've played fretless. Just not for me. A re-fret would cost more than what I originally paid for it. Besides, it's not like it's a vintage Fender or anything. It's served it's purpose and it's time to put it out to pasture. One of the pickups is a Duncan QP. The bridge is a Leo Quan Badass II. Those are worth saving.

Fretless are strange beasts...I played an awesome Ovation fretless bass the other day at a local shop–they wanted more than I wanted to pay lol

Can you save the body and go with Warmoth or something?
