  • Meat and Potato…

…with an extra helping of meat.

I switched to bass about 7 years ago now. It started as a favour to a friend who was having a hard time finding a bass player, and I I liked it enough to stick with it. Now I barely play guitar anymore.

This gets me through just about anything. The pedalboard changes depending on whom I’m with. I would prefer to go straight to the amp, but some songs just call for a certain sound/effect

There's just nothing like an SVT.

My question: where are you playing that the SVT is needed?!?!?

The right rig for the job. I hope that 8x10 has wheels on it. I was in a band that used an SVT 8x10 as a sub-cab for the P.A. I was glad that band only lasted 3 years.

Doesn't look like it has wheels. Of course that's what a two wheel dolly is for.

Those cabs have 2 wheels recessed in the back corners with a handle across the top, which is angled. Tilt and roll.

Great rig! I go straight to the amp. No effects, nothing. Just a good clean bass sound.

It has wheels, a handle and sliders on the back, so it’s like pushing around a furniture dolly. Rolls better than a 410/4x12 and despite the bigger size is generally easier to move.

I do plan on getting a 212 for upstairs/basement gigs, but it hasn’t been a priority since I usually use the Mesa for that stuff.

That more or less sums up how I feel.

I’d prefer that. I basically carry a board just for the intro to For Whom the Bell Tolls.

I love/hate my 810e…love the sound, hate the weight and size.
