  • ASB-5 Pickups

I have a 5-string bass with Bartolini P2 sized pickup routes - I'm looking for something very modern sounding (deep lows, clanky highs, not a lot of mids) and the ASB-5 seem to fit the bill. The only problem is there really doesn't seem to be much in the way of reviews, demos, or discussion about them out there. Anyone have experience with these and care to share?

I wish I could help, as I tend to like lower output bass pickups (the ASB 5 being a lower output active compared to Blackouts). I think lower wind bass pickups have more clarity.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one keeping the bassment going.
