  • neck replacement

hey Im thinking about remplacing the neck of my squier,
I found a good replacement (IMO) in this page http://www.guitarpartsresource.com/necks_allparts.htm, I like the 70's STYLE
FENDER LICENSED MAPLE STRAT NECK, but i have a few questions :

    • Can I just replace the neck without having to do other modifications in the body or somewhere else?

    •which of these do i need??http://www.guitarpartsresource.com/tuners_parts.htm

•can i put these Gotoh Kluson Tuners
just like that or do i have to do a modification or something??? or Where can i get some good tunners that fit the neck and the bushings (something not pretty expensive)??

thats all, thanks for the answers

BTW. does anybody knows where can i get a neck with the same quality but cheaper???

        Re: neck replacement

You can replace the neck, it should fit right on, and if it dosnt, just take some 320 grit and lightly sand the heel of the neck until it does. Remember, you want a good tight fit, where you can unscrew the neck and pick it up, w/ the body still hanging on. If you're wanting vintage style tuners, go to stewmac. com, and they have what they call conversion bushings. It will allow you to use vintage style tuners on a guitar that has 10mm tuner holes. Best of luck to ya bro.
