    And how to get the Edge u2 delay type.

    There is know standard setting for Delay. It depends on the piece you are playing. Set the Delay to be "in time" with the Tempo of the song you are playing. Some people prefer to use a "slap back" setting and leave that setting for all the things they use delay for. My preference is to get the delay to repeat on 1/8th notes.

      Set it to every crotchet beat, seems to work for adding "ambience"

      Don't have the repeats too loud or too many

            I like a wide echo for my real distorted solos and the processor is set for anywhere from 450-500 milliseconds, depending on the tempo of the tune, with a dual repeat.
