  • Bright strings?

    Hey all.

After a few arrangements I've gotten my tone personalized and to my liking. But if I can get it just a little bit brighter it will be perfect for my style of music. How much of a difference can strings make upon thine tone? Right now I play on .11 gauge GHS's. If I want a slightly brighter tone should I get a brighter type of string, or maybe use a smaller gauge?

Well, stainless steel strings will give you plenty of bright, but can you adjust the amp to give you more treble?

Try Everly B52s in .10 gauge.

You need to go down a gauge in strings ...
