  • no tone control??

Talking in Simon_F's message has got me thinking ( i know thats not recomended to do that often)... I never use my tone knobs. i always leave everything on 10. Can I rewire my strat to bypass the tone knobs completely?? That should mean just solder the negatives to the volume, and the possitives to the switch right?? First off is that the correct way to do it, and second, is that cool to do?? I don;t ever plan on selling this one, and since i don't use it anyways it can only help my tone right??

    THANKS in advance
    RYAN

    Re: no tone control??

make a no load tone pot, look in the vault somewhere john posted a "how to make one" thread

on 10 it'll have the same effect as having no tonepot, and you'll still have the option to turn it down if you ever need to
