  • impedances? 4,8,16.....

i will be gettin an Avatar 2x12 cab soon, and will be using my hiwatt DR103 with it......which has capability of running at 4,8, or 16 ohms.

im wondering what sonic/volume differnces there are between running any of those differnent impedances? i have tested my hiwatt at both 4 and 16 through my marshall cab and i couldnt really hear any differnces........

right now im thinkin of goin with 2 8 ohm speakers wired in series for a 16ohm load

2 8ohms would be most versatile, you could wire in series for 16, parrellel for 4 or use them seperatly in stereo for 8 each

yes. check out the wiring diagrams at avatarspeakers.com. it's pretty simple.
