hey I took a tip from lew for aging my HB cover by sanding it and this worked well but I need to know of a household substance that will further dullen it. The cover I have on the neck PU is an actual old cover that has been aged naturally. I heard white vinegar works well but I don't have any. Any suggestions?

I just did it and I stuck it under a lamp from about an inch. haha its already sanded to the point you can only hardly see bright colors but its too clean lookin so I hope this worksComment

Maybe try Lew's other tip, the gun blue. You can get that at Walmart.

This works for me...only takes a few minutes too. About 5 bucks more than piss though.
