  • Need a tip for aging my PU cover

hey I took a tip from lew for aging my HB cover by sanding it and this worked well but I need to know of a household substance that will further dullen it. The cover I have on the neck PU is an actual old cover that has been aged naturally. I heard white vinegar works well but I don't have any. Any suggestions?

Piss on it, I forgot to update about this, but I pissed on a bucker cover, and it worked good.

I let it sit for a few days.

Maybe try Lew's other tip, the gun blue. You can get that at Walmart.

If you have time to wait, keep it in moist dirt in a dish somewhere for a week or so.

This works for me...only takes a few minutes too. About 5 bucks more than piss though.

Is buying a used vintage looking guitar still appealing to anyone?...

And I've spent a good deal of time making my guitars stay like new. Who woulda thunk it...
