  • define "binding" on LP's?

Is it just a cosmetic pin-stripe between the top & body that finishes off the guitar or is there more to it?

    Thanks..

That "pin stripe" is a thin strip of plastic. On somne guitars, such as San Dimas Jacksons or older Les Pauls, it covers the ends of the frets. On those, there is a definite feel difference. On guitars without those "nibs", itīs for the most part cosmetic as most players donīt really contact it much while playing
