Anyone self-installed an Earvana nut?

Hey guys, I'm in the process of putting together my Strat project, and I'm wondering if anyone has installed an Earvana nut before? Earvana claims that the nut is flexible enough to conform to any neck radius, but it doesn't seem very flexible to me. The nut is flatter than the 10 inch radius of my Warmoth neck, and it doesn't seem to want to bend. When filing the nut base, do you typically need to file the bottom to match the radius of the nut slot? Or do the screws hold the ends down when it is all put together? Any help would be appreciated.
