With the THD hotplate and their specified impedance, if i for example bought an 8ohm hotplate would it ruin the amp or cab if i used it with a 16ohm cab (out of the 16ohm output of the amp) or is it just the tonal/frequency compensations built into the hotplate that are optimised for the specific impedances?

Re: THD hotplates and their specified impedance question...?
According to Ed DeGenero (one of THD's reps), you can safely mis-match 2:1 in either direction. So, an 8ohm Hotplate will work with 4, 8, or 16ohm loads.
But, the tone controls are optimised for the designed impedance.|| Guitar | Wah | Vibe | Amp ||
