I still have my first guitar a late 60's Japanese hollowbody (probably made by the Shiro Arai Co.) and I play her occasionally. She needs to have electronics/PUPs replaced. I found some inexpensive coil splitable 'Filtertron' like pups. There are 6 holes in the body, I want to play with series/split/parallel switches on both PUPs. Need PUP selector. So I've got 3 holes for pots. So do I go 2 volume and a master tone or 2 tone with a master volume? What makes more sense?
Currently those 6 holes are: 2 volume, 2 tone pots, PUP selector switch and a 2nd switch that functions something like the Gretsch tone switch. The guitar has single coils PUPs.
