According to Ron Wood, Bo had a few effects stuffed in the body, with heavy strings, very high action, and the thing was heavy as all get out. How's yours?

He also said that in later yrs, Bo used an Australian made gtr, which was much lighter. I don't know who in Oz made it.
          Maton would be my guess.

A reviewer once said that Bo sounds like "the devil moving furniture" Undoubtedly, much of that was Bo himself, but I'm sure his gtr had a part!

Believe me when I say that some of the most amazing music in history was made on equipment that's not as good as what you own right now.

You know, because it gave me so much grief while I was building it,I just wanted to finish it and get rid of it.
Then the plan was changed to finishing it,just because I couldn't waste the wood, then later I would use the neck and all the other components in one of the other bodies I make.

                            But.......

I've been playing it for a week, and it's turned out to be a very nice guitar.
                            A VERY nice guitar!!
Originally it was to be fitted with an SD 59n/JBb set up,a Schaller bridge/tailpiece,Grover machineheads,CTS pots, etc.
But when I cracked the sads with it,I thought "Bugger it! This thing can have all the cheap stuff!!"
I fitted a set of GFS Fat PAT's,Korean bridge/tailpiece,GFS Imperial style machineheads and Alpha pots.
To my absolute amazement,it sounds teriffic!
In humbucker mode it does a very nice LP impersonation. The tone is full, rich and smooth. With the pickups tapped,it really has a great Gretsch kind of tone. It's not thin and weedy at all. It's a very natural sound. More P90 than Fender.
The sustain is excellent. The note decay is smooth.
It's surprisingly comfortable to play, standing or sitting.

Awwww...Don't let me fall in love with another one!!

I built this one to sell.
Maybe if I build another one......

                            Cheers,PJ

But I gotta ask, how's the upper fret access?
