I think I'm da fiirst...new uke day? hehe. Eleuke...it's electric and solid body...I was looking for a used one, but I guess these ukes are too new. The originals were made in Japan and supposedly better made, this is a Chinese made uke and at 200 clams, not inexpensive. The piezo pup sounds decent and gets that nylon string zing that a uke needs. Decent quality, some inconsistencies in string tone/volume at different frets and strings, but overall useful for uke stuff at gigs. It's a kool blue with mutha of toilet seat binding. I threw on some gold Gibbo knobs and some pins and the eyeball. It's fun to play, this is a tenor which is much easier to play than the small soprano Kamaka next to it. Stomp on a OD or fuzz and it gets wild. Jake has nothing to worry about...trust me...

That doesn't get much cooler looking for a uke! Good jobOriginally posted by kevlar3000I learned a long time ago that the only thing that mattered regarding tone was what my ears thought.Originally posted by ZerberusBetter is often the enemy of goodOriginally posted by ginormousCovers feed the body, originals feed the soul.

Re: Nud!
Thanks guys. I believe it's a mahogany body...weighs nothing. It had tiny black knobs, like the kind on a small pedal, the gold knobs do look outta scale, but the slightest turn makes a big difference, I have to roll back the vol and tone to dial in a good uke tone. That's a funny vid Simon, never heard of the dude, must be English? Can't help but laugh,... goofy grin, vaudeville voice and was that a 'crab' move? I vaguely remember Arthur Godfry and his uke. Now back to..."hey soul sista, ain'nt that mista mista on the radio... stereo...
