Right on time to ask Mr Jackson for advice next week.
        Should be an interesting build.

Best Overall Humbucker for a Maple Board Mahogany Bodied Floyd Rose Equipped Guitar?

I'd like some meat to it, some bottom end and mid-range, not just treble and mid-treble...

          Pearly Gates Trembucker?

          Custom Custom Trembucker?

You want a Custom 8. The CC might sound too compressed in mahogany. I didn't like it at all. It all depends on your taste though.

If it's a Maple Board Floyd Guitar, I usually use a DiMarzio Tone Zone F, but looking for something different on this one.

Was also considering the EVH Frankenstein (don't really want to do a Non F Spaced Pickup) or a Rio Grande BBQ.

Custom 8 huh? I'll have to check the SD Site for that model. Thanks for the recommendation

I don't believe it's on the official site because Duncan don't actually make it. It's something that's come about through experimentation on these boards. If you go the pickup lounge and do a search for 'Custom 8 Paradise' you should find all the information you need.

Personally, I can't recommend it highly enough. It's an awesome pickup.
                I remember calloused hands and paint-stained jeans, and I remember safe-as-houses self-belief.

I used to have a Rio Grande BBQ/Texas set. If you're looking for fat and sizzling PAF humbucking tones, give it a shot! Typically I wouldn't recommend the BBQ in strictly a mahogany body (because it is a darker, more compressed sounding pickup), but with the maple neck giving it a snap, it just may give you that low mid emphasis you're looking for without being muddy.

that I'll be building this out...hopefully it will go well with the Vintage Kramer "Claw" Neck that I just picked up. :toast
