+1. I take all of my cheaper guitars for gigs in those parts of town. I've had so many friends get equipment stolen.

At 2:00 in the morning, how many places are safe enough to be walking around a parking lot with several thousand dollars of gear, per man. Everthing's closed and deserted; you're on your own. I can live with losing a $300 guitar; a $3,000 one is another story.

if i was looking for a new guitar, i'd definitely pick it up. if i didn't like it, flip it for an extra $50 or $100 and get something else.
