That sounds like an awful lot of trouble to go through just for an Epiphone, but I guess if you're going to screw up a guitar, it might as well be an inexpensive one.Comment

ebony feels good, but rosewood sounds good. If you are just doing it for cosmetic reasons the labour cost is not worth it for an epi. and it would be a bad idea on a gibson because you will ruin its resale. so my vote is: if its not broken, dont fix it."Technique is really the elimination of the unneccessary ... it is a constant effort to avoid any personal impediment or obstacle to acheive the smooth flow of energy and intent"
