Hi guys,
I read somewhere that some of the boutique overdrives run at 18vdc. Namely, Klon, Banzai Cold Fusion, and Maxon OD820. They use voltage doubling circuits. The Klon uses something called a "hex inverter" to double the voltage. This apparently has a lot to do with the hi fidelity type of sound of these units.
Can anyone give me specifics on how that is wired?
Thanks,
Randy
