    Re: the BEER SHIELD!

That thing is awesome. Even if beer spills weren't a concern, it's a fashion statement.

      Re: the BEER SHIELD!

hehe, thanks guys. I just designed and drew it up. Took it to a local plexigalss shop to form. I wanted it bent from one piece. It was $120 bucks...I miscalculated the finish size as it was supposed to fit over the pedalboard and lay over my pedals when I pack it into my anvil case. It was too tall, so I just finished making a padded plywood box that's shaped like the shield, to straddle my guitar case when I roll my gear out. The front wall of the shield is 10" high and I pitched the back angle to 16", so yeah, toe stomp access is very roomy. Kam, that's a BabyFace tremolo (lovepedal) I painted...had to squeeze it in there so it sits on a 3/4" mini-riser. I'm gonna throw a few stickers on it so it's not so invisible....

              Re: the BEER SHIELD!

Personally I prefer a more forward approach to protecting my pedals from marauding drunkards...

              I remember calloused hands and paint-stained jeans, and I remember safe-as-houses self-belief.

Believe me when I say that some of the most amazing music in history was made on equipment that's not as good as what you own right now.

This is the best idea ever!

In other news, I noticed that the sound board at the Jagermeister Music Tou Anthrax/Megadeth/Slayer concert was sitting safely under a thick plastic cover. No more evenings ruined by idiots throwing beer.
