Can anyone tell me what this guitar would sound like?

I'm sort of down to either this or a les paul standard.

        pretty sure single coil range.

if you want more of a rock guitar sound, the paul imo is the way to go.

G&L, Asat's sound awesome. Those big single coil pickups have a big full tone to them. They're also very hot pickups. Go for it, I doubt you'll be dissapointed in it.

They sound like a cross between a Thinline and an LP Special. They are pretty cool guitars, to my mind they are a bit more Country but no reason they couldn't Rock.

I had the solid body version of an ASAT Special. I really regret having sold it.

The pickups are fat and full, with a big bottom. I could play that guitar through a small amp, and it still had a BIG sound. Many of the Hellecasters' tunes were recorded with ASAT Specials.

I'll have to check out those hellcaster tunes.

I liek to play classic rock and grunge. I especially like Pearl Jam, so I'm looking for a versatile guitar. They play just about every guitar fender and gibson makes. Usually strat lead and les paul rhythm but my band trades the rhythm and lead alot so I'm trying to find a guitar that is the best of both worlds.

BTW, I plan on putting this into like a Marshall JCM800 2205.
