  • Check out this 5-Neck

A friend sent me this pic of Cheap Trick, from a concert she saw in California back in October.

This 5-neck is so much cooler than Rick's original red one. To wit:
    • One of the necks has a Bigsby.
    • The 12-string is a semi-hollow. That makes the guitar lighter (LOL) and F-hole are cool.
    • The bottom neck is a LP Junior with a P-90.

Add to that the usual TOM 6-string and the Mandocello (8-string baritone) and you have pretty much everything covered.

Ironic that it's Bun E. who has back trouble, and couldn't make the gig.

the scale length on the neck below the 12 string looks a good bit longer than the scale length of the other regular 6 string necks
        any info on that?

          I think it's 27" baritone

First 2 things I wondered was, A) does it kill his back and B) where is Bun E?

I notice he has it rested on the leg tho and not hanging in front. Man, Id LOVE to have his guitar collection!!!
Believe me when I say that some of the most amazing music in history was made on equipment that's not as good as what you own right now.

there would be guitar-back in your face if you were trying to play the bottom one, or at least the bottom of the guitar(s) stabbing you in the neck..... functionality fail?

That guitar looks like an Expensive Trick.

That's what I meant by "ironic". Rick plays that behemolth, but Bun E. has back trouble, which sometimes prevents him from touring. Rick's son subs on drums when Bun E.'s not up to the task. Old age is beotch.

Is it practical? No. But who cares?
