  • Opinions of Sugi guitars

Finally am able to get by the board errors and post this. I may have the 1996 NAMM prototype for US models coming in a deal. In my research, I see comparisons to Suhr guitars as far as quality of build. They are handmade and use water recovered preserved maple for the necks. Some of the wood is a 1000 years old or more but they claim it is the most stable wood out there

Anyone have any experience with these? They are pretty pricey instruments but I am interested in personal experiences with these guitars, not price tags

    Thanks in advance

Sugi are high quality hand built instruments, and do quite a bit of OEM custom shop work as well.

Both the Ibanez FRM and UVMCRE are built by Sugi.
