  • 1985 Les Paul DC XPL STD

    i couldnt be more please with my 1985 Les Paul Double Cut Standard. Story on these is they were GIBSON factory runouts made in the Custom shop as Gibson had let go all its employees in the transition , and only kept the custom shop employees.
    Essentially., it was a Les Paul Std. made with Explorer necks. I pulled the original 80's PAF's and I'm not going to say what pickups I put in, except that I've long dreamed of an Ace Frehly sound.

    Love that body shape.... it's dawned on me I also like the Gretsch Malcome Young model which is a similar shape! Enjoy that one mate.

                          Very cool, man. The double cream look on the black is classy as ****. Congrats.
