  • Telecaster dilemma

I just got a telecaster-type body with a rear route. I drilled the holes for the pots, and when i tried to put them in, they wouldnt go all the way through. This is because there is too much wood between the top and back. How would you suggest wearing down the wood in the route to decrease the width? Thanks
i saw this band, and thought they were really great, until i saw what the guy was playing through........

You don't have to remove any wood. Get yourself a set of "long shaft" pots.

    regular shaft long shaft

Long shaft pots are far easier and cheaper than a router.

Yep you just need the right pots. Look for long shaft or long bushings (as some places will label it) or more simply pots that are meant for a Gibson or so on.
