    Damn that BTMN - he got me all hooked into those Dean guys and now I am about to have an attack of pointy GAS. I have been eyeing a number of Dean's for some time:

    #1 Dean Dixie Rebel
    #2 Silverburst ML
    #3 Neon green ML
    #4 any Dime style relic'd to Rebel like Luci's Dixie
    #5 Some sort of razorback
    #6 A Purple Flame ML like Bloodrose owned\

    It goes on - AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

    Help me!!!!

      Yeah - I need one of those too....That at least keeps me in the KISS zone.

      It's just that I swore off everything but LP's a long time ago....

        My Iceman is really close to LP, always kind of felt they were anyway. Go for the Greco M1000, the blue one like Rick had on the back of Budokan. All mahogany, LP switch placement and 4 knob controls.

                  funny you should mention that..it helped me decide to go ahead and get this body just now for 50 bucks Jackson Poplar MIJ Kelley to make am Lucid Pointy Dixie tribute;
                  I've got all the parts (neck and trem) just need the wiring harness ( and some beercaps lol);

                  thinking a 'Don't tread on me' decal might be cool..

                  (Anyway to partly torch the finish for a burned effect w/o bubbling the paint?

                        This 1980 V Standard in braziliaburst would make you smile, 60's profile with a soft V finish. The Super Distortions are a little hotter wound then regulars supposedly. It's sounds killer with a low gain setting

                        This 1981 Z Standard is another killer sounding guitar in a low gain setting. Wide thin C profile like a 70s LPC. It took a hit by FedEx and there is a truss route crack on the back of the neck. It's playable but FedEx is finally picking it up tomorrow

                        Snag a vintage one Ace, screw the imports. There's deals to be had right now

                        They are a lot lighter then I am used to but real Honduran mahogany bodies and necks w/ ebony boards are hard to beat

                              Normally, pointy GAS strikes teenagers, kind of like acne.
