Is something wrong?

I have a single tv jones tele body and finally got the pickup today in the mail. i went to check out out the sizing just to make sure and the 2 tabs in the tv jones didnt fit. if i flipped it over it fit, but the tabs were too big. Should i email the seller and ask for a refund? and also the route seemed really shallow, im not an expert at this, but should i cut off the excess?

how much excess is there? i'd just sand the hole a bit

if you're familiar with tv jones pickups its the bottom brass plate sticks out a little bit where the front of the pickup doesnt,
it's probably a quarter inch on each side

like this im guessing? dont worry about it, i had a 1pc ash tele made and nothing fit perfectly, had to sand the bridge route and the control route a bit. PITA!
