  • Shielding the trem cover of a Strat?

I'm currently using copper to shield the pickguard, and I have got some leftovers, so I thought about taking two copper pieces in contact with the screws holding the trem claw in up over the edge, and covering the entire trem cover with copper. Would it have any effect at all, or is it just a waste of time and copper?

I know that, and I do so myself, but I was wondering if it was something to gain on it..

It is an insignificant part of the back of guitar compared to the total surface of the back.

Plus if your strings are grounded you already use your belly as a shield there.
