Is this repairable? How much money to have this repaired? Is it worth repairing or should I buy a new guitar?

It CAN be repaired... BUT I don't think it'll be economically viable, as it'll cost you at least 70% of the new guitar's price.

I lol'd at the picture. How did that happen? Oh yeah, it must just be because Les Paul headstocks are weak and flimsy by nature.

haha- be nice now. It's not my guitar but a guitar I was supposed to buy but the seller just informed me it has broken. It was knocked down by dogs or something. It was a true beauty. I was gonna get it for $500. Wondering if I still buy it for like $200, and invest in repairing it. Dilemas dilemas

Is it cheaper for a good repair or cheaper to just get a new or atleast a nice used one?

Good repair jobs will cost you much more than a few hundred dollars and for that guitar it just wouldn't be worth it. Epiphone resale value isn't all that stellar to begin with and a nasty headstock break would really kill it. With the amount of Epi LP's on the market, I'd skip it altogether.

Even then it might end up costing more than it is worth.

That looks like it would be tricky to get a good clamping on. I'd stay away from it.

                          Re: headstock issue

Thread title cracks me up. Headstock appears to be fine....the problem is that it is completely detached from the neck/guitar.

Anyway, I'd say maybe $50 for everything and that's only if you want a learning experience.

The design isn't actually flawed. The problem comes from thinner modern day necks.
