The route is nice and clean and a custom guard would cover it nicely..

    but..

the way the poll pieces don't line up with the strings looks pretty jank

      yeah, that.

I believe that it would sound cool, though.

If one can use the same strat pickup in 3 positions why not use the same tele pickup in two spots? makes sense I guess.

Lets see someone stick two rhythm pickups in a tele

Well, when I do this, I'm going to line it up, and you will be forced to relent all naysaying and simply bow to the awesome power of the TT pickup config.

I have seen 2 Tele neck pickups in a ele before, but only as a Neck and Middle, never as a 2 pup Neck and Bridge combo.

You could angle the neck pickup similarly to the bridge. That would work.

                Oh hell yeah.

I'd have to angle it slightly steeper to compensate for the narrower string spacing as you move from bridge to nut, but I bet that would sound boss-****-pro-nasty

jank - adj. broken; unnecessarily redundant, superfluous, or meaningless; stupid or ridiculously moronic; bootleg or of questionable quality. Antonyms: boss-****-pro-nasty.

You need to read the fine print, man.

I read "boss" and thought about this

I've gotta admit, the extra step would be making it a stealth Esquire with Tele bridge pickup in the neck postition. Now that's pretty baller. I take it nobody liked my Powertron/Mini-hum/Mini-hum Tele idea from the pickup thread huh?

I think that's a cool idea --- I also like the pickup config idea!

Slant that pup alil ( old Charvel I had had a slant single in the neck ) or put a Carvin AP11 (dont laugh, they sound VERY good) in there with the million adj screws.
Believe me when I say that some of the most amazing music in history was made on equipment that's not as good as what you own right now.

Oh, jeez no. The miniscule difference in string spacing between the bridge and neck positions won't make a lick of difference in sound or appearance. However, having two Tele bridge pickup angled parallel to each other would look AWESOME.
