I'm down with it. My guess is it will cost somewhere around $1600 or so. I've been wanting a 12 string solidbody electric for quite a few years now.

very cool! Ive always wanted a double neck for this reason (and they look cool) Matter of fact, was watching vids on Vevotube today of Guns playing knocking on heavens door and slash was playing a double neck.. the 12 strng sounds were nice..
go for it John!Believe me when I say that some of the most amazing music in history was made on equipment that's not as good as what you own right now.

Ya know, my only issue with the 12 string SG is that the SG has one of the weakest neck joints ever on a Gibson...I just see a lot of those getting broken...If you just read a post by The Guy Who Invented Fire please understand that opinions change, mind sets change and as players our ears mature...not to mention our needs grow and change. Ya know, the other thing I see that bugs me...12 Grover mini's...I know folks like Grovers and all but Kluson strip keys would have done the job just fine and cut down on the weight...
