  • Double expanding trussrod necks?

Are they as tone dead as everyone says? I happen to have one, a Warmoth and it has everything else I like in terms of specs.

my best sounding and playing guitar happens to have a mid 90's Warmoth neck with the double rod... i like them... i'm sure lots of purists want their necks like Vintage Fender specs all the time... that is a different way of thinking... in most cases i prefer modern improved guitar designs over vintage ones (as long as they work better that is)....

My Warmoth neck has the double rod and I don't have any complaints. It's impossible to do a real A/B test because of so many other factors, but I'm confident the difference is negligible. Any Warmoth neck I order in the future will have the double rod as well.
