  • Ultimate SDUG BASS - preliminaries

Decided not to let bass go to the bottom of the list!

Let's see them boys. I know some of you have them...

Reggie, Steve, etc., and you guitar dudes too.

No classification - 4, 5, 6 or more strings. Stock, mod, refins, whatever.

    Bring on the Big Bottom!

Top ten (if we can find ten...) go to vote.

One entry per member. You must currently own it.

I picked this up a little while ago. I wanted a real bass track for my submission for the up and coming Robert S CD. So I found this for 350 used at my local shop. I just had to tweak the rod and raise the bridge saddles half a turn. I wanted an active bass so I could run it straight into the board for recording.

My Warrior neck thru. The neck is highly flamed. I can get a shot of the back if it's actually being considered. Just let me know.

That's insanely nice ^^ I really like those neck through basses. In fact, I think bass guitar designs are much less restricted by traditionalists, and some of them look downright awesome.

This was my uncles Gibson 62' EB-0. After he died my grandma just put it in her attic and its been there till about two years ago(he died in about.....95'-96'ish) because my mom took it out of her house and gave it to me. I haven't done anything with it but I really want to find an old bass amp and play it. The neck is bent though so I need that to be fixed.

            Dude, you must!!

            That kicks so much ass.

yeah, I opened the truss rod cover and I guess a normal hex key wont work to fix the rod. Where can I buy the tool to adjust this beast?

some nice basses in here! I don't have anything special so I wont bother posting. I wonder which one bass medic will post?
our first drummer died in a bizzare gardening accident!

I won't dance in a club like this,
'Cause all the girls are sluts,
And the beer tastes just like piss.

Ditto here. I've got a black SX P-bass with a tortoise shell pickguard and Dimarzio pickup. Sweet, but nothing compared to what's been posted already.
                  My songs....enjoy! (hopefully )

Those EB's are pretty rare man, you need to fix that thing up.

Not mint, not clean, not a closet queen. Truly a great playing bass that has seen more stage time then I ever will. Spent the better part of 30+ years in bars every weekend getting cranked through a 8x10 ampeg. Plays better then some of the guitars I own and mojo for days.

Got to thank my bro for letting this one go.

That's a really nice looking piece and it deserves a better pic. I can't really tell what the headstock looks like. It sorta looks white but I'm guessing is just glare.

Here's my Sandberg and massive Phil Jones combo...lol. I'll have to see if I can get some better pics... these don't do this bass justice.

                              and with a bigger rig
