      I'm curious, which 1980 issue of Wank are you referring to as Eddie was on the cover 8 of the 10 issues that year (why they didn't publish 12 issues per year back then I'll never understand, although I understand that cutbacks have lead to their publishing only 3 issues in the last decade).

            I thought he used a Hondo CXXVIII strat that he slammed an old japanese minibucker into, then used his dog's ayus to scrape the springs from the back of the guitar. Saw that in Wang Dang Rocker mag in 1982 whilst eating a cheese sub at Blimpie's in Maplewood NJ, right next to Columbia high school.
