  • The ultimate fret-out: Electric guitars

What electric guitars have more than 24-frets? I play 'Metal', so keep it appropriate, natch.

When I play my 24-frets, I always feel the urge for more frets when soloing.

Don't question me.. I probably am really crazy.

what a coincidence I've been thinking the opposite today.. I miss having 22, but need no more than that.

    Here's one for ya:

Washburn Stephens Extended Cutaway. Cool crackle finish standard.

They come up on ebay every once and again.

Dean Skyy guitar. Don't know if it is production or not.

I saw an Ibanez 27-fret Xiphos, but was iffy on it and didn't want to quite pay it's price of $899. Plus, the "optional" case (I don't consider it optional as seeing that it's shape almost requires you buy it or good luck finding a gig bag for it) was $169 at AMS.

I like this because it's a tad cheaper and it's a regular superstrat body shape. I'm a little iffy on the 'chopped' frets near the pickups, but I guessin' I probably would'nt need the missing positions anyway. Don't know 'til I play it. And, the price is right. Thanks for brigin' this to my attention.

                  Keep posting guys regardless. Thanks.

There was one with a thundercloud finish I saw on my local CL for $1300. What your not seeing in the picture is their wacky demon tail headstock, which is not to my taste. The rest is pure awesome.

I miss the 22nd fret on my Strat, but I could live without it on my Gibsons. I'm not sure at all why that is.
